Little Miss W | Puyallup Childrens Portraits

Little Miss W came for the annual portraits and this year it was all by herself!  What fun we had!  Fake snow, ornaments, a bunch of portraits taken with an emphasis on make believe.  Here are the top 10 pictures as chosen by her parents.

Because of the weather, we set up a little studio area in my living room.  Thanks to my own kids, we've collected a few things to take pictures!

And the ballerina takes a bow!

Look at those boots!!

I think little girl smiles are precious!

See, wasn't that fun?  Thanks for visiting with us!

Real Moms, Real Women | Puyallup Tacoma Womens Portraits

What is beauty?
Thanks to the amazing and wonderful Sue Bryce on Creative Live, I got to explore this question beyond just my personal thoughts and explore it as a business person.

What is it?
Is it a personal quality?
The turn of a nose?
A range of dress sizes?
Is it a sense of humor?
And then..
How do I capture that?
How do my clients feel when viewing their images alone in their home?
Do they say "wow what a great picture"?
Or do they say "nice picture, but I'm glad the kids are in front of me"?
I KNOW my clients are beautiful.  I want to make sure they see what I see!

So I asked a few friends to model for me.  Size is not an issue.  Skin perfection is not an issue.  I told them to just be comfortable and wear something simple.  These are all taken in their home, usually in the living room.

These are real women, real moms, and they deserve more token images in the once a year family portrait.

I'd really like to expand this project.  I sincerely want to photograph every age, every stage in life, every range of woman.  If you'd like to be a part of it please contact me or comment here on the blog.

Remember, I'm also looking for Fresh Faces for this year's advertising.  If you, your mother, your daughter or your friend are interested in joining the contest I'll take pictures until 9 pm May 12th!

BIG Family Gathering, Part 1 |Puyallup Family Photographer

Four Families
10 Grandchildren
Definitely two blog posts!
These families don't live in the same state, so gathering together is a momentuous occasion!
I think you can tell through these pictures that they ALL enjoyed getting to play with their cousins.

Add caption
I've photographed these sisters before, but never as a group of three.  Let me introduce Big Sister E, Middle Sister C and Baby Miss G. :)    Mr. G took a long time to warm up but he has such a cute smile it was worth it!

Aren't they cute twins?  Whoops, I mean cousins??  And Mr. H, the man of the group.  He so bravely gave me his baseball pose.

Ahhh, the whole group of nine!  Even the baby was happy!
The Amazing Group of Grandchildren!

Little Miss C, she likes me, but doesn't want to smile. :)

Just wait to see what happened with the parents got involved!
Party Two, whoops, Part Two will be coming soon!

Miss G | Puyallup Newborn Photographer

My dear friends just had a miracle baby, a surprise baby, a baby full of spunk and joy!  Please meet Little Miss G!

I usually travel light for these newborn sessions: a few fabrics, a few ribbons and a few of the large items that I can't live without.  Luckily, G's mama had just bought this adorable basket!  I  borrowed my daughter's silver skirt (she thinks I'm silly)!  And my friend also had a TON of beautiful silk flowers.  We had so much fun adding accents once Miss G was asleep!

I wasn't sure we were going to get her to sleep within our time frame...

But no one can resist a full tummy, loud shooshing and a warm blanket!  More pictures will be added tonight!

Baby G | 10 Day Old | Newborn Photography

Now that my kids are a little older, I really enjoy the time I get to spend with other people's little ones.  Especially the B Family.  Their oldest (Mr. S) is the same age as my youngest.  And recently they have been blessed by God with a little miracle, Baby G.  I was quite seriously in awe of this little one and the blessing of his life on all those who know him....   Here are a few of my favorite images of this family...

We'll start with Mr. S, then move to Baby G...

Growing Up | The F Family | Orting Family Portraits

What a fun family!
I've known Mrs. F for a few years now and her boys have always been a lot of fun to play peek a boo with when we had playdates.  Now that their back yard is finished we spent a quick evening mini session playing and having fun back there.  I don't think personal portraits could get any more relaxed, just eating watermelon, a few poses, dancing, playing with bubbles and then the dump trucks.
Thanks for having me over and enjoy those boys!!

See more of the F Family's sneak peek here.
For more information on the mini session please leave a comment or send me an email.

Introducing: Little Man G | Orting Newborn Photographer

Introducing Little Man G!
This sweet little guy joined a family who was VERY excited for his arrival!

This sweet mama brought me in to take maternity pictures and then gave them as a gift to her husband for Father's Day.
She had to give him the book a few days early because she was getting more frequent contractions.  But Little Man G stayed put until just the right time.  He arrived almost three weeks ago, but he still slept for me this lovely morning....

And then the little man got hungry....

He's such a sweet heart and the spitting image of his brother!
Congratulations S Family!!  And may Little Man G have a great first year!

And we had to include the most excited big brother ever!!
