Spokane is my hometown and I love to take my kids there to visit with my family. My sister lives there with her family (you may remember them from this post). Usually I take pictures of just the girls or just her, but this time we got the whole family involved! Mrs. A wanted lots of green and something on the north side of town. We kicked around a few location ideas and settled on Whitworth University. They were married at the church near campus and we have family ties to the school and church.
It was a really hot evening! I was baking as I drove around campus looking for the best shade, the most green and some brick. Ha ha, Whitworth is full of brick buildings! We decided on this lawn in front of Weyerhauser Hall.
Meet my oldest neice, Ms. H! She's a spunky girl with lots of imagination and amazing blue eyes.
Next is the darling Ms. T. She holds has a taste for fashion, flare and enjoys finally begin a big sister. And to add to the fun there is a new addition - Ms. C. The youngest little lady likes to walk, talk on the phone and give "big smiles."

We got so many adorable photos it was hard to narrow it down for this blog post. Please leave them a little love in the comments!

The B Family | Puyallup Family Portraits
I've had the priviledge of photographing the B Family for 3 years now and it's such a pleasure to be a small part of their lives. The boys have grown so much since those first pictures. J & A have recently added to their family - adopting little O-man! Any family portraits with three kids ages 5 and under is very energetic hour and this was no exception. For one thing, we had chosen parts of Puyallup for the portraits. It was also the last weekend of the Puyallup Fair! And if you've been a guest here to The Fair, you know the traffic and parking!
So my recipe for this session was
Take 1 adorable family
2 loving parents
3 energetic boys
shake gently
guide with silliness
and achieve good honest smiles!
I think it worked out pretty well.
Young Mr. S had no trouble smiling and being ready for the camera.
Young Mr. G took a few minutes to warm up to the idea of sitting and looking in one direction.
O-Man was very eager and ready to do anything I asked.
And of course, boys do what boys do. Why not capture it?
J & A have pictures of kissing the boys as newborns. I thought it was sweet to try and do something similar with O-Man
And of course, as all UW Huskies fans must, the photo with the jerseys!
Thank you for visiting with us!

Cousins with a Twist | Bremerton Family Portraits
When cousins Amanda and Staci both won portrait packages at a local auction, they immediately got busy imagining and visualizing what they wanted their family portraits to look like. Since these gals have grown up together, it was only seconds before they were on the same page with similar ideas. In order to keep so much the same style for both of them we decided to do their session at the same time in the same location. While nailing down a date was the hard part, the weather didn't argue with us and the session was overflowing with awesome! Come and see!
Cousins or Outlaws....
Thanks for visiting and chewin' the fat with us. And before y'all take off take a look at the videos! Only 2 minutes each. :)
